Wednesday 10:53pm: domestics on the other side of the wall

(or is it the ceiling?) each angle of equal angry probability

we all know, swear words are too rude to mind the rose

petal pattern concrete building structures, the eggshell layers of paint

the sharp edges of polite big city coexistence

are never as clean and angular as the architect’s grids

Technical specifications:

15 by 7, dry wall and plaster

47 beams, rejection

and disappointment

transparent grout

walls may be cavity

or single-skin

Annie Higgen is a poet and sound artist.
